Text Message Consent Script

This is the exact wording used to ask permission before Wellwood Residential sends anyone a text message. It is published so that anyone — a person we called, or a mobile carrier reviewing our messaging programme — can read what we actually say.

Step 1 — asked out loud, on the call

“Before we finish — would it be alright if I text you at this number about [property address]? It would just be about this one property: our offer, scheduling access, contract documents, and updates through closing. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can reply HELP for help, or STOP at any time to stop them. Our text message terms are at wellwoodresidential.com/terms and our privacy policy is at wellwoodresidential.com/privacy. Would you like me to text you about this one?”

We text only the people who say yes. If someone says no, or does not answer clearly, we do not text them. The answer is recorded with the date, the number, and the property it concerns.

Step 2 — the first text they receive

“Wellwood Residential — Colin here, following up on our call about [property address]. Msg frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out at any time.”

The first message of every conversation identifies us and repeats the opt-out instruction. After that, the thread is an ordinary conversation about that one property. No reply of any kind is required to stop us beyond the word STOP — and a spoken “don’t text me” on a call works just as well.

If someone texts us first

Anyone who texts (317) 854-5680 first is simply answered. We do not ask for a separate confirmation to reply to a message someone sent us, and we keep the reply to the subject they raised.

Stopping

Reply STOP to any message. It is immediate and permanent, and no reason is needed. STOP, END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPTOUT and REVOKE all work, in any capitalisation.
